They are seeking a Farm Hand with an excellent understanding of dryland cropping production from planting right through to harvest. You will have a good understanding of modern machinery and associated seeders, self-propelled sprayers and harvesters.
Reporting to the Farm Manager you will be involved in key planting, growing and harvesting aspects of crop production. This exciting role calls for someone who understands the urgency of large scale farming, with an emphasis on forward planning.
Duties Include:
- General tractor work, seeders, self propelled spray rigs / other implements and trucks used in large scale broadacre farms.
- Use of Precision Ag Systems (Greenstar)
- Machinery infield maintenance
- Ground preparation, harvesting and loading.
- Working with a close knit permanent team and contractors, trades and other casual staff
- Experience in winter and summer broad acre production.
- Current vehicle license - HR & HC would be an advantage.
- Be self motivated, adaptable and have a practical and innovative approach to the workplace.
- Applicants must be physically fit, prepared to work outdoors and be willing to learn aspects of the position.
