Sales Coordinator, Purchasing & Inventory Controller - Rockhampton 
 
Our client is an Agricultural Chemical company who is expanding it's manufacturing plant as it goes through a phase of growth.
Reporting to the Site Manager, the primary role of this position is to develop and manage the purchasing, inventory and logistics for raw materials and manufactured products. You will work closely with the manufacturing and sales teams to ensure continuous supply of raw materials for manufacturing and product sales to our customers.
The second role is to work with the sales team to coordinate product to customers.

Our Expectations:
Proven experience in a similar functioning role, along with the following attributes and skills:
• Previous experience in procurement and stock control, you have learnt how to build effective
relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Strong numeracy skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Be analytical with a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail and consistency
• Have good organisational skills, and be task focused
• Analytical and logical problem-solving skills, strategic thinker
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word), in particular Excel.
• Have a commitment to accuracy and quality improvement, and an understanding continuous
improvement concepts
• Proven ability to identify opportunities to improve procurement practices
• Possess sound commercial acumen and excellent negotiation skills
• Team player, utilise your skills to liaise with manufacturing and sales staff
• Ensure the most efficient and cost-effective transport for all logistics including negotiations with
new and current service providers
• Exposure to warehousing and logistics in a manufacturing environment
• It would be advantageous to have a forklift license, or be prepared to undertake one
• Be flexible to meet the demands of a growing business

Responsibilities Purchasing and Inventory Control:
• End to end management of all purchasing, inventory and logistics functions
• Develop and maintain sound communication between suppliers, freight providers and team
members
• Drive strong commercial negotiations outcomes to ensure timeliness and product quality, across
local and international suppliers
• Procurement of raw materials and packaging in a systemised, timely and efficient manner
• Ensure all stock is managed and updated through our stock control software including planning and
facilitating stock take procedure
• Implement new or improved supply chain processes to increase efficiency
• Analyse data, and provide reports in relation to supply and inventory
• Use initiative to make recommendations on cost saving and system improvement
• Sales administration including processing orders and customer liaison
• Sales reporting
• Assist with the packing/dispatch/receipt of orders on occasions
• Support the manufacturing team as and when required
