Pivot Cattle Farm Manager - Pilbara WA

This is a hands on role and requires someone with good animal handling experience, tractor and farm machinery experience.
Reports to: Pivot & Feedyard Cattle Manager
Key duties & responsibilities:
- Organizing and implementing cattle work as required: cattle moves between/in pivots/paddocks, yard work (scan, weigh, draft, vaccinate, dehorn, brand, castrate etc.)
- Organizing and implementing water run daily, feed loading and delivering to feedyard cattle daily
- Ensuring animal nutritional requirements are met through supplementing minerals, molasses, maize silage, lick, hay and wrapped silage
- Ensuring water and fencing infrastructures of pivots/feedyard/cattle yards/paddocks are maintained to a high level
- Ensuring vehicles and machineries (grease, fuel & oil, cleaning) are well maintained
- Other duties as reasonably asked by Management
Skills and Experience:
Qualifications
· Practical skills; Low Stress Stock Handling
Experience
· Minimum 3 years experience in the cattle Industry
Skills
· Attention to detail
· High level communication
· Ability to be part of a team and lead a team when asked
· Ability to work independently as the need arises
· Outstanding Livestock handling (patience around livestock)
· Ability to work under pressure and in extreme climate and environment
· Clean up work sites & vehicles after use
