Experienced stock feed milling manager required. Leading Brands for key livestock industries. Diverse and challenging role requiring a dynamic person.
Our client a leading agribusiness are currently seeking an experienced and versatile Manager to join their strongly performing and expanding stock feed division and to take responsibility for managing the day to day operations of their stock feed milling facility.
The facility produces a wide range of stock feeds in both pellet and mash form for the dairy, beef, poultry, pig and horse industries. The range includes both bagged and bulk products as well as customised rations specifically formulated for individual customer requirements.
Reporting directly to the Site Manager, the position will focus on all key areas of the operation including generating new business, key account management, procurement of materials, overseeing production and plant maintenance activities and leading a team of 15 experienced and skilled personnel.
Duties include:
- Current management experience associated with production/manufacturing operations including active involvement with production activities, plant maintenance and continuous improvement programs
- Demonstrated ability to develop new business opportunities and successfully undertake key account management
- Proven leadership and staff supervisory skills including the ability to effectively respond to front line HR & OHS issues
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, along with the ability to effectively negotiate
- Sound financial skills including the ability to develop & monitor budgets, undertake costing and quotation, interpret and analyse production & financial reports
- Well developed organisational, administrative and computer skills
- A background in the stock feed industry
- Relevant experience associated with stock feed milling operations
